Meal Cards
Selection of a Campus Dining Services Meal Plan entitles you to a Meal Card, which allows you purchasing power equivalent to the plan you have selected. Here is how it works: Simply present your meal card to the Door Checker once you enter the Dining Hall . Once your card is scanned and recorded, please leave any books or bags in the designated areas. Now you’re ready to enjoy your meal time. Note: If you purchased a partial plan (10Meals) you will not be allowed to exceed your allotted meals. Remember to plan accordingly.

Your Meal Card Is Important . Without an ID we don’t know who you are!

Lost or stolen Meal Cards can be replaced . Should this happen to you… You must have your meal card replaced in the Student Services Department located here in the Union. In the event Student Services is not open, you will be given a temporary meal pass (provided you have an ID or Class Schedule with your Student ID Number visable) equivalent to no more than 3 days in the event you lose it over the weekend, during which time you are expected to get your card replaced at Student Services once the office is open. Once you report you Meal Car lost it will be deactivated. Do not let another student or friend use your Meal Card. If someone tries to use your card it will be confiscated and reported to Security. You will not be allowed into the Dining Room once your temp meal pass has expired unless you replace it with a Meal Card. If you lose your temp meal pass you must pay for your meals by cash or check until the Student Services Office is open. You must always carry a photo ID with you. It is your responsibility to prove that you are on the meal plan and/or a member of the William Penn Campus Community. The safety and well being of our students is a priority.

Seconds Policy
William Penn students are expected to consider others when standing in line or gathering a “self serve item”. Please accept the allotted portion and allow others to enjoy the same. There is ample supply if one employs good sense. If one decides to take 10 chocolate chip cookies for him or herself, chances are they will be gone in no time. Sure we will bring out another item to replenish it, but we would love it if everyone got to enjoy some chocolate chip cookies. You never have to be too shy to ask for seconds with our Campus Dining Program. Our generous policy allows for a second helping of many menu favorites. All you have to do is ask! Please note, however, that are a some exceptions to our Seconds Policy including: Special Event Dinners. With multiple serving stations available we reserve the right to limit one particular item for we want all of our students to experience that item.

Dietary Needs
Do you have particular dietary needs? No problem! Our Campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact Ben Colafrancesco, General Manager at colafrancescob@wmpenn.edu or call 641.673.1069

One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable, and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please place your tray on the tray-return belt and discard all disposable items when you have finished eating.
  • Please refrain from leaving the dining facilities with dishes or utensils.
  • Remember that meal plans are non-transferable and can only be used by the purchaser.
